Sugar-Free Treats

Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in January 2013 and quite soon after her diagnosis, we started looking for sugar-free snacks that were not only delicious but had not been artificially sweetened.  The items that we now sell are also the treats-of-choice in our home:

Chocolates and Sweets
These products, manufactured by Caring Candies, are free from sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colourants, preservatives and common allergens. They are kosher and tooth-friendly and are suitable for diabetics, individuals with ADHD, candida and/or anyone who is health conscious.

Biscuits
After receiving numerous requests from diabetics to produce a range of biscuits, Mantellis developed a range that is suitable for diabetics, individuals with ADD, families wishing to opt for a healthier snack as well as people seeking to limit their sugar and calorie intake and/or desiring products with a low glycaemic index.

No fructose, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives and no sugar is used; contains only natural ingredients.  The biscuits are certified kosher as well as halaal and they have a super-great-taste!

Vitamin and Fitness Waters
One of the most frustrating aspects of the diabetic-diagnosis was finding our daughter diabetic-friendly drinks.  Of course there’s nothing better than water and we were thrilled to find NatureZone’s vitamin and fitness waters.

The business is family-run, abides by FairTrade practices and their vitamin and fitness waters are based on their mineral water which is bottled at source. No filtration of any sort is performed and the waters have been formulated using natural or nature-identical flavourants and colourants.  They use fruit fructose as a sweetener rather than sucrose, glucose or fructose corn syrup so the products are diabetic-friendly and as natural as they can be.
